Hey there!

My name is Rosibel Mendez, and I'm a professionally trained screen and stage actor based in Los Angeles. With 15 years of experience in the acting industry, I still love learning more every day by experimenting with my craft and bringing authentic passion to every single performance. With each opportunity I get, I feel deeply grateful to be able to do what I love, which is to to have fun, be creative, and always bring myself to the table.

    My Story

My journey started when I was only 6 years old. I started performing in local theatre productions, which really made me comfortable on the stage at such a young age. I mostly performed in musicals as a child, so I was also able to strengthen my vocal skills for singing as well, which I also deeply adore. Around the same time I also was accepted into my dance studio's competition team, which strengthened my dance skills in ballet, jazz, contemporary, and hip-hop, and helped shaped me as a person: someone who never gives up, who is a hard worker, and someone who knows exactly what she wants to achieve in her life, and knows how to get there.

I never stopped acting, singing, or dancing after high school, and my path brought me right to California State Polytechnic University of San Luis Obispo. I am currently in my third year at Cal Poly, and I plan to receive my Bachelor's Degree with a double major in Theatre Arts and Communication Studies. The theatre department opened up so many opportunities for me, and I'm so grateful for all that I've learned so far and all the productions I've been involved with. I always wanted to get involved in screen acting when I was younger, and Cal Poly was able to open a door for me by introducing me to Actor's Edge, where I am currently training. I instantly felt a rapidly growing love for screen acting, and it hasn't stopped growing since then. â€‹

I have always found acting so fascinating ever since I could remember. Connecting myself emotionally with characters is where the magic and fun happens for me, getting to know a specific character so well and bringing their authentic soul to life. â€‹As a young Hispanic actress, I want to bring that sense of connection to the audience as well, especially to all the young children who see themselves in me as a Hispanic, showing that they can pursue whatever dreams they want, and to not let anything get in their way. It's something I wish I saw more of as a child, to see more actors who looked like me, and I believe I can bring that to this new generation.
